Shubha Bhat (she/her) is a clinical pharmacy specialist in gastroenterology. In her clinical practice, she oversees the medication experience, including education, safety monitoring, and adverse effect management of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. In addition to clinical practice, Bhat also partakes in research and teaching. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and a master's degree in clinical sciences from the University of Colorado. She completed a postgraduate year 1 pharmacy residency at Boston Medical Center, postgraduate year 2 ambulatory care residency at UIC, and an ambulatory care outcomes fellowship at University of Colorado.
Lisa Blanchette (she/her) serves as the sr. director of pharmacy for specialty and infusion pharmacy services. In this role, she provides strategic and operational oversight for five dually accredited specialty pharmacies as well as system-wide leadership for non-cancer infusion services. Blanchette also serves as the residency program director for the postgraduate year 1, 2, and Masters specialty pharmacy administration and leadership programs. She is passionate about innovative pharmacy care models, improving medication access and affordability, and pharmacy business strategy.
Alex Mersch (he/him) is the assistant director of ambulatory specialty programs at University of Iowa Health Care. He graduated from Roosevelt University and completed a post graduate year 1 pharmacy practice residency at University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City, IA. Mersch received his Master of Business Administration from Upper Iowa University. He participates in various committees at the state and national level and is passionate about advocating for patient access to optimal care through health-system specialty pharmacy.
Chelsea Hoyle (she/her) graduated from North Carolina State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Financial Analytics and obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University in 2022. She successfully finished her postgraduate year 1 specialty pharmacy administration and leadership residency year and is currently a postgraduate year 2 specialty pharmacy administration and leadership resident at Novant Health while simultaneously pursuing graduate studies in healthcare administration.
