In anticipation of the Midyear Clinical Meeting, ASHP is hosting a series of podcasts focused on highlighting key sessions, hot topics and “can’t miss moments.” Hosted by Cynthia Von Heeringen, Education Director on the National Meetings Team at ASHP. On today’s episode we are sitting down with Drs. Antonia Akrap, Delaram Bahmander, and Samantha Roberts and learning more about their session, It's a Small World After All: Diversion Prevention Software Challenges. SPEAKERS

Della BahmandarDella Bahmandar, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, BCSCP, (she/her) currently serves as director of pharmacy at Saint Luke’s Northland in Kansas City, Missouri. Della received her Doctor of Pharmacy and her Master’s in Business Administration Degrees from Roseman University in Nevada. After graduation, she completed a PGY‐1 residency in pharmacy practice at Cleveland Clinic – Main Campus. She then went on to complete her PGY-2 in health systems pharmacy administration at Saint Luke’s Hospital.

Antonia AkrapAntonia Akrap, PharmD, MS, BCPS, (she/her) is the manager of perioperative pharmacy services at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed her PGY-1/2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at Mass General prior to taking her current role. As a PGY-2 resident, Antonia served as the Chair of the Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative (PALRC) and is a current member of the Frontline Leaders SAG.

Samantha RobertsSamantha Roberts, PharmD, MBA, (she/her) is the system director of pharmacy regulatory and compliance at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a graduate of Mercer University and has held multiple leadership positions within Publix Pharmacy and Baptist Health System in Kentucky. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Invistics Corporation and healthcarediversion.org and is a member of Vizient's Quality, Safety, and Compliance Committee. Samantha is currently President-Elect of the Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Cynthia Von HeeringenCynthia von Heeringen is a scientific project director, educational programs at ASHP and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing medical education, continuing professional development programs, and other clinical resources for pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. This includes developing educational content for ASHP’s national meetings, industry supported activities, and certifications product line. With extensive experience in acute care clinical practice and operational supervision, she is passionate about medication safety and process optimization. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.
